We work to build excellence.

A Proud Heritage

Taylor International Corp. has been operating in Nevada since 1954.

Taylor will function as the General Contractor, Managing Contractor, Construction Manager at Risk, or the Owner’s Representative. Since its inception, Taylor has established a reputation for integrity and professionalism in all areas of construction and consulting for hotel and gaming-related facilities, restaurants, public works, or specialty projects regardless of their size.

Taylor’s work includes projects ranging in size from $100,000 to $1.9 billion. Taylor prides itself on its continued efforts for innovation, attention to detail, and dedication to its clients, community, and the construction industry.

Taylor’s clients have the benefit of working with a team of professionals that include educated and experienced experts in their field. Additionally, all Taylor teams are committed to the foundation of integrity and performance that has been maintained throughout Taylor’s long history of being in business. All of Taylor’s clients will have the assurance that they will have the attention of Taylor’s executive leadership team, as well as the active involvement of the ownership group.

Taylor strives to create a collaborative approach with the client and the design group to execute the most cost effective, timely and efficient solution for the development of the project. Taylor International is small enough to deliver hands-on service, while large enough to manage even the most complex projects.

Taylor dedicates itself to advocating for its clients. As a result, Taylor’s clients benefit by saving time, money, and headaches while the construction team focuses all their efforts on the common challenge of completing the construction project. Taylor acts as the client’s “eyes and ears” during all phases of the client’s project, coordinating construction work, aggressively pursuing schedules, and maintaining project budgets to ensure that the client’s exclusive interests are protected. Taylor will assist in fostering a collaborative team approach between all interested parties, including the general contractor (if required), architect, engineers, vendors, and consultants, letting the client focus on its core business. This is a primary reason why Taylor maintains one of the highest levels of customer loyalty and satisfaction in the construction industry, with repeat clients accounting for more than 75% of our business over the past 5-years.

Our Recent Work

Taylor International Owners

Bill Mason, MBA - Managing Partner / Owner

William “Bill” Mason was born in Miami Beach, Florida. His parents moved the family to Las Vegas in 1964 where they raised Bill and his siblings. He graduated from Valley High School, and continued his education at the College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho. While there, Bill earned a Liberal Arts Degree with dual majors in Business Management and Psychology. After graduation, Bill continued his education and earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.

Upon graduating from the University of Miami, Bill moved to southern California to live and work. It was there that Bill began his career by assisting in management and harvesting operations for a large agricultural firm. By the end of 1988, Bill returned to Las Vegas to work in the family construction business, Taylor International Corp., with his grandfather, father and his brother, Jim.

In the early years at Taylor, Bill learned all aspects of the company, including working as the controller and field superintendent. Over the next ten years, Bill’s role with the company expanded to project management. During that time, Bill was able to work on overseas projects in Peru and Chile, and further advance his bilingual capabilities. In 1997, Bill worked with his brother Jim as project managers on the Sheraton Desert Inn Project. After completion of the Desert Inn, Bill and Jim purchased the remaining shares of Taylor International and took over full-time control of the company.

Bill is currently a board member, as well as the Immediate Past President of Temple Beth Sholom in Las Vegas. Bill has also recently completed the 10-year board term obligations for both the local National Public Radio station (KNPR), and as a Trustee on the Board of the College of Idaho. He has also been a longtime supporter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

James Mason - Managing Partner / Owner

James “Jim” Mason was born in Miami Beach, Florida. His parents moved the family to Las Vegas in 1964 where they raised Jim and his siblings. He graduated from Valley High School in 1983, and continued his education at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, where he earned his BS in business administration (class of 1987). Throughout his college career, Jim worked along with his grandfather, father and brother at Taylor International Corp.

After working in Portland for two years in fiber optics, Jim returned to Las Vegas to take a full time position with the company, beginning in the field as an assistant superintendent/project manager to project manager at the Stratosphere Resort and continuing thereafter in project management roles through the remodel of ITT/Sheraton Desert Inn. Upon the completion of the ITT/Sheraton Desert Inn work, both Jim and his brother Bill purchased the remaining shares of Taylor International and took over full-time control of the company.

Since 2000, Jim has served on the board of the Association of General Contractors, Southern Nevada Chapter (“AGC”) and in 2012 to 2013 served as President of the Board. In 2003, the AGC recognized Jim with the award of Contractor of the Year. Jim is also a board member and former President of the Nevada chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and serves on the board of Congregation Ner Tamid.
